Bill Bean

Bill is a partner in The Randall Wade Group (RwG) and a seasoned facilitator of and speaker on Strategic and Tactical Business Planning. He has earned the LEED AP designation (LEED Accredited Professional) through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and has added “Green” business planning to our offering. Bill also recently received a 2008 appointment as Adjunct Professor in the Green Building program at UMASS, Amherst to teach a course on planning related to green building beginning in the spring of 2009.
 

WORK HISTORY

Bill is a Massachusetts native and a 30-year business veteran in Sales, Sales Management, Division Management, Strategic Planning and consulting both in the US and Canada. He has over 20 years experience in the forest products sector, 5 years exposure in the high tech sector, several years working in planning and coaching with non-profits and a recent focus on gaining credentials for planning in the “green” community. His experience includes:

• Strategic Planning - International Paper Company, New York City

• Marketing Manager – International Paper Company – Mobile, AL / Dallas, TX – developed and executed a plan to introduce MSR (Machine Stress Rated) lumber

• Territory Sales – Trus Joist Corporation - 7 yrs in 12 Northeastern states

• Marketing Manager – Trus Joist Corporation in Minnesota, establishing the team and strategic plan to successfully introduce and commercialize the TimberStrand® product in window, door and furniture applications in the US and Canada.

• Division Manager (Residential and Industrial Products) - Trus Joist Corporation in the  Northeastern US and all of Canada, a $150,000,000 responsibility

• 8-week special project with Trus Joist Corporation in the Middle East including an on-site presence in the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar.

• Experience in High Tech Sector servicing Automotive, Electrical, Health Care and Government accounts.

• BBA and MS (Wood Science & Technology) from UMASS, Amherst
